Liverpool secured their second piece of silverware of the season on Saturday, beating Chelsea in the FA Cup final, and Jurgen Klopp will be looking to build on his impressive squad ahead of the summer transfer window.

The two sides could not be separated after 120 minutes of goalless action but the Reds emerged victorious 6-5 in a penalty shootout. The win highlighted the strength of the depth that Liverpool have given the injury woes they had to overcome at Wembley.

Klopp will be only too keen to bolster his ranks over the coming months, although it is crucial that they keeps hold of his star performers. Mirror Football takes a look at all of the latest transfer news coming from Liverpool…

Lewandowski wants Barca exit

Robert Lewandowski looks set to leave Bayern Munich this summer

Bayern Munich director Hasan Salihamidžić has told Sky Sports that Robert Lewandowski wants to leave the club this summer.

The Poland international has been linked with a move to Liverpool over the past few weeks, with Interia Sport even saying that the club had already held preliminary talks to establish the future of the former Borussia Dortmund star.

And the news that Lewandowski has since declared he wants to leave the Allianz Arena outfit will only fuel speculation that he could be leaving soon, although Barcelona are favorites to land the 33-year-old. Salihamidzic said: “Yes, Lewandowski informed me that he didn’t want to accept our offer and he would like to leave the club. Our position has not changed, Lewa has a contract until 2023. That is a fact. ”

I’m ‘interested’ in Bayern

Senegalese winger Sadio Mane has expressed an interest in joining the Bundesliga side Bayern Munich, according to BILD. The forward is out of contract in 2023 and talks to renew his deal have been postponed until the end of the season.

But that has gifted Bayern the opportunity to begin their pursuit of Mane. The report goes on to state that Bayern opened talks with Mane’s agent, Bjorn Bezemer, last week and discussions continued over the phone recently.

As stated earlier, with Lewandowski potentially leaving Bayern at the end of the season, the club are likely to be in the market for a new striker. Although usually deployed as a left-winger, Mane is a clinical finisher and has been deployed as a No.9 of late by Klopp.

Liverpool monitoring Zaniolo

Liverpool are continuing to monitor Zaniolo

Mohamed Salah has been a revelation since joining Liverpool from Rome in 2017, and it is no surprise that the Reds are considering raiding the Serie A side to sign another star for the future. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Reds are monitoring Giallorossi attacker Nicolo Zaniolo.

The Italian winger is out of contract in 2024 but reports have emerged that the 22-year-old could there a move away from Rome this summer. The versatile forward has scored twice and assisted two in 27 Serie A appearances this season, although that doesn’t do justice to how much of a creative influence the Italy international has been.

With both Salah and Mane yet to extend their contracts at Anfield, it will come as no great surprise that the club are eying up long-term replacements. Zaniolo is rated at around £ 59million, meaning the Reds will need to dip deep into their pockets for this deal.
