Ye West apologizes to Kim Kardashian in ‘GMA’ interview

During an interview that aired Thursday on “Good Morning America,” West said he regrets “any stress” he caused.

“This is the mother of my child, and I apologize for any stress I’ve caused, even in my frustration, because God is calling me to be stronger,” West told ABC. “But no one else has to worry about stress either. I need this person to be the least stressed and at best sane and as calm as possible to be able to raise these children.”

Kardashian filed for divorce from West in February.

When Linsey Davis asked if he “has a voice” while co-parenting their four children, he said yes.

“I do have a voice, but I had to fight for it,” West said. “That hurts you when you like to cry about what your kids are wearing.”

Adding that there were parallels during his divorce to the problems he had in the fashion industry.

“It’s those little nuances where there’s a parallel in what happened at Gap, what happened at Adidas and what happened at my house,” he said. “It was all a disparagement of the voice of something that I co-created. I co-created the kids. I created the product at Adidas. I created the product at Gap. It’s a parallel and the parallel is about discrimination .”

He also said that he felt that there was discrimination in his marriage, but did not act.

The full interview will air tonight on “Nightline.”
